How this site makes money

Some links on this site may be affiliate links. When a link is an affiliate link, we may receive compensation if you click it and complete a qualifying action with the provider, such as opening an account or taking a first advance. The qualifying action and the payment are set by each provider or its affiliate network. This does not necessarily increase your cost.

How affiliate links are labeled

Any provider button that is an affiliate link has this note directly beneath it: "Affiliate link — we may earn compensation from qualifying activity." Buttons without that note are ordinary links to the provider's website, and we are not paid for them.

A provider shown as a "Featured partner" is one we may be compensated by. A provider shown only as "Featured" is placed first by our choice, and we are not currently paid for that link.

Does compensation affect what you see?

Compensation may affect where a sponsored or featured partner appears on the page, and those placements are labeled. It does not change the facts we report. We list fees, limits, requirements, and limitations for every provider the same way, whether or not it pays us, and we include useful products that don't pay us at all.

We don't promise approval, we don't claim that anyone automatically qualifies, and we don't let compensation turn into unsupported rankings.

What we don't do

• We don't run a loan-request form or sell your information to lenders.
• We don't list every product on the market. Our comparison covers a selected set of providers.
• We don't make credit decisions. Each provider decides who qualifies.
